2009-2013 Employment Consultant in the Claims Department. Taking all forms of claims for unemployment insurance, NC, Combined Wage, Military and Federal. Assist with local office eligibility decisions. Take accurate concise fact findings. Assist applicant with wage protests. Explain rules, rights and responsibilities to all applicants. Answer employer questions about unemployment insurance.  

2002-2009 Employment Consultant Same as below as well as writing job orders for employers, visiting companies to solicit job orders. Conducting eligibility  review interviews. Lack of Work unemployment  claims. Representing DES at partner agency functions. Completed TAA training. 

1999-2002 Intermittent Set up job fairs, assist applicants looking for work with use of web site. Refer applicants to jobs they are qualified for.
Education:
Masters Degree Conflict Resolution
University of North Carolina at Greensboro. 
Graduate level classes in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Facilitation, Negotiation, Mediation, Dispute Systems Design, Cultural Dimensions of Conflict and Gender and Conflict.

To get the most out of your job search, get organized. Looking for work will require creating accounts on many different websites, each with a username and password. Make a system that you can use to keep up with what is what. Dong on line applications is difficult enough already without having to do the reset password merry-go-round. Also, know how to get into your email on a regular desktop computer. I've seen people who just use their smart phone for email and forgot long ago their password. Smart phones get lost, break and are useless when you cannot pay the bill. Don't be dependent on your smart phone. Doing hour or two hour long applications on one is going to get old really fast.
